Is Your Chassis Number Here?and why are we asking you?The point of this table is that we know the DVLA figures on the numbers of Zs and ZXs in the UK are wrong. To get them right, we need to do an analysis based on Chassis Numbers - or at least the first few digits. Thanks to Mike Feeney and the info on Andy Pingram's pages, we've got a pretty good list.Have a look and if you have a different chassis number on a car registered in the UK, please let me know the information. In particular, the info on your V5: Make If we can persuade the DVLA into action (the SMMT have, so far, been very helpful), we will publish the results on the forums on www.300zx.co.uk and www.zclub.net as well as offering it to the Datsun Club and the Z Club Magazine. No personal details will be released. Please note the following table is not definitive - just best info we have at the moment. Any corrections gratefully received.
Note 1: main source is MJP Auto www.mjpauto.com - many thanks Below is today's (22 Apr 02) summary of the responses received from forum members responding to this thread. The interesting point is that nearly 2/3rds are imports. Maybe Nissan Motor GB Ltd should take better care of import owners.
